Rav Susman spent the first twelve years of his post high school education studying at Yeshivat Har Etzion, serving in the IDF tank corps, earning a BA in Computer Science and Philosophy from YU and receiving his semicha from both YU and the Rabbanut. He later added an MA in Talmud from Bar Ilan. He was the Rosh Kollel Torah MiTzion in Chicago where he was active in the formation of Beit Midrash programs on the University of Chicago and Northwestern campuses – returning to Israel to devote himself to the establishment of Yeshivat Eretz HaTzvi.

His unique approach to teaching iyun Gemara skills sets him apart as an exceptional educator. In the United States, he won the Gruss Life Monument Award in 2020 for being an excellent rebbe. Rabbi Knoll has a long track record of success and is proud of the decades-long relationships he has built with his talmidim – watching them grow from middle schoolers to mature, post high school students. Rabbi Alex Israel teaches Tanakh at Yeshivat Eretz Hatzvi, Midreshet Lindenbaum and Matan, and teaches at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies where he is director of Community Education, Summer Programs, and the Elmad online learning platform.
Born and raised in London, Rabbi Israel moved to Israel in 1991 and gained rabbinic ordination from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate following several years of study at Yeshivat Har Etzion. Rabbi Israel holds degrees from London School of Economics, the Institute of Education, London, and Bar Ilan University.
His first book “I Kings – Torn in Two” was published in 2013 to great acclaim, and its companion volume “II Kings – In a Whirlwind” in 2019. See his shiurim and his weekly “Parsha Discussion” at www.alexisrael.org. Rabbi Israel has lectured widely at campuses and communities on five continents.

Hakham Harari is the Department Head for Sephardic Studies. His shiurim are attended and loved by both Sephardim and Ashkenazim alike. A graduate of Yeshivat Har Etzion, he has spent much of his life active in various Synagogues and educational projects in the Syrian Jewish communities of Brooklyn and Yerushalayim, including co-founding iLead. He made aliya in 1999, and has been teaching at Eretz Hatzvi since 2005.

Simon runs the informal programming in the yeshiva, including tiyulim, chessed, yemei iyun, and shabbatonim. He has extensive experience in informal education in the UK and Israel, having served as Mazkir (National Head) of Bnei Akiva UK, an educational consultant at the National Library of Israel, and an Educational Programme Director at the Shabbat Project.

He has edited various educational publications, writes, and regularly teaches in various forums. Since making Aliyah in 2012, Simon lives with his wife Lauren and children in Modiin, where they co-founded a new community, Darchei Tzion, which now numbers 150 families.

Simon loves studying and teaching Tanakh, Gemara, and Halakha, supporting his beloved Manchester City, and playing cricket.

Avichayil grew up in Givat Ze’ev to English-speaking parents – his father from Australia and his mother from England. He attended hesder yeshiva in Modi’in and was drafted into the Golani Brigade of the IDF. He rose to the rank of Captain and serves in the reserves. Avichayil received his B. Ed. from Talpiot College and his MBA from Bar Ilan University. He has coordinated many informal education programs such as Birthright and NCSY in Israel. Avichayil recently married Eliana and they live on the yeshiva’s campus. He is always eager to join the students on tiyulim and enjoy the amazing scenery of our beautiful country.
